Now that microtransactions dominate PC gaming revenue, I wonder—can we ever go back to the bo6 bot lobbies old model? You know, where you buy a game once and get the full experience?

I doubt it. The market has evolved, and expectations have shifted. Players now want constant updates, seasonal content, and massive live-service ecosystems. That costs money, and microtransactions foot the bill.

I don’t think it’s all doom and gloom, though. Some games strike a decent balance. Baldur’s Gate 3 proved that a premium game with no microtransactions can still succeed if the content is amazing.

But the reality is, microtransactions are here to stay. The best we can do is push for ethical practices—cosmetic-only stores, transparency, and fair pricing. The genie’s out of the bottle, but we can still buy bot lobbies bo6 fight for healthier systems.
